How to Sell Your Diamonds in Three Simple Steps

 

1. Appointment or Drop-In Options

For diamonds under 0.25 carats, you can visit any of our 16 locations for an on-the-spot evaluation. These smaller stones are usually treated as side stones, which are priced differently than larger stones. They are typically valued as part of the gold jewellery they’re set in, rather than individually appraised gemstones. We don’t need to grade these stones, unless they’re of unusually high quality or come with certification. 

(Note: In our Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia locations, diamonds under 0.33 carats are purchased by the weight in gold only).

For diamonds over 0.25 carats, we need to grade your stones before an offer can be made. You can:

2. Professional Assessment

Our gemologists are certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and the Canadian Gemmological Association (CGA). They assess all the factors that determine your diamond’s value — including the 4 Cs (cut, color, clarity, and carat weight), craftsmanship, condition, associated brand, and resale potential in today’s market.

 

3. Get a Quote and Decide

You’ll receive a free, no-obligation quote on the spot or shortly after your diamond is graded. If you choose to proceed, we offer immediate payment.
