Sell Your Gold Without Leaving Home: Canada Gold’s GoldPack Mail-In Service

Sep 3, 2026

Not everyone lives close to a Canada Gold location, but that shouldn’t stop you from receiving a fair evaluation for your precious metals.

Whether you live in a rural community, a smaller town, or simply prefer the convenience of handling everything from home, Canada Gold’s GoldPack Secure Mail-In Service offers a safe, transparent, and reliable way to sell your precious metals without having to visit one of our stores.

The process is simple, completely free to use, and follows the same evaluation standards as our in-store service.

What Is GoldPack?

GoldPack is Canada Gold’s secure mail-in service that allows customers across Canada to sell eligible precious metals from the comfort of their own home.

Once you request a GoldPack, we’ll send you everything you need to safely ship your items to our evaluation team in Vancouver. There are no upfront costs, no obligation to sell, and every request includes prepaid shipping.

Whether you have unwanted gold jewellery, eligible silver items, platinum or palladium jewellery, or other qualifying precious metals, GoldPack provides a convenient alternative for customers who cannot easily visit one of our locations.

Why Choose GoldPack?

Unlike many mail-in gold buying services, GoldPack was created with transparency in mind.

Every item is professionally tested and evaluated using the same process we use in our retail locations. Offers are based on:

  • Live precious metals market prices
  • The weight of your items
  • The purity of the precious metal

Our goal is to provide the same trusted experience whether you visit us in person or choose to mail in your items.

Canada Gold is also an Authorized Distributor of the Royal Canadian Mint, and every Canada Gold location is accredited or listed with the Better Business Bureau, giving customers additional peace of mind.

How GoldPack Works

Getting started is straightforward.

1. Request Your Free GoldPack

Complete the Gold Pack request form on our website. If you have any questions regarding if your items qualify, please contact our team directly.

We’ll mail you a complimentary GoldPack kit that includes:

  • A prepaid Canada Post shipping envelope
  • Shipping insurance
  • A resealable bag for your valuables
  • Customer information forms
  • Step-by-step instructions

2. Pack Your Items

Place your eligible items inside the resealable bag, complete the information form, and seal everything inside the prepaid shipping envelope.

Drop your package off at any Canada Post location and request a barcode scan so you can track your shipment.

3. Professional Evaluation

Once your GoldPack arrives at our Vancouver office, our Precious Metals Analysts will carefully examine your items.

Each evaluation includes testing to determine:

  • Metal purity
  • Weight
  • Current market value

Just like an in-store appointment, evaluations are completed professionally and transparently.

4. Receive Your Offer

If you requested to be contacted, we’ll review your evaluation and offer with you before proceeding. If you accept the offer, payment will be issued promptly. If you choose not to accept, you may have your items returned for a flat $25 return shipping fee or donated to a local charity.

If you selected not to be contacted, we’ll process your payment or donation request based on the instructions you provided.

If your shipment contains items we cannot purchase, we’ll contact you to discuss your options.

What Can You Send?

GoldPack accepts many types of precious metals and collectibles, including:

  • Gold jewellery
  • Silver jewellery stamped with a recognized purity mark (such as 925, 900, 835, Sterling, or other recognized hallmarks). Silver jewellery sent on its own should generally total more than 30 grams.
  • Platinum and Palladium jewellery and dental precious metals
  • Canadian silver circulation coins minted 1968 and earlier
  • U.S. silver circulation coins minted 1964 and earlier, including Kennedy Half Dollars through 1970
  • Eligible vintage Canadian paper banknotes printed before the 1986 Bird Series

Items We Cannot Accept

Some items are unfortunately not eligible for purchase through GoldPack.

These include:

  • Gold-plated jewellery
  • Base metal items
  • Modern circulation coins
  • Modern Canadian polymer banknotes
  • Loose diamonds or gemstones
  • Unstamped or silver jewellery under 30g

If you’re unsure whether your items qualify, our team is happy to answer your questions before you ship them.

Is GoldPack Secure?

Security is one of the most common questions we receive.

Every GoldPack includes:

  • Prepaid Canada Post shipping
  • Trackable shipping labels
  • Shipping insurance
  • Secure packaging

Our evaluation team handles every shipment with the same care and professionalism as customers visiting one of our retail locations.

No Pressure. No Obligation.

One of the benefits of using GoldPack is that you’re never required to sell your items.

Requesting a GoldPack is completely free, and there’s no obligation to accept our offer.

Our goal is simply to provide accurate evaluations based on current market conditions so you can make an informed decision.
